Real me vs Online me

This is for the Edublogs Week 1 blogging challenge.

Online I tend to talk back more. In real life, I’ll just accept it if you tell me something and I won’t really talk to you unless you’re a very close friend. I’ll only talk to you if you talk to me. Online if you said something to me if I don’t agree I will automatically talk back to you. When I’m online, I’ll probably start the conversation. Basically the main difference between my online self and my real self is that I’m more out there and able to express my ideas more online than in real life.

My Book so Far

The book i’m reading is called False Memory. The author of the book is Dan Krokos, I don’t know if he has made any other books, but this one is really good so far. If you find any other books about him, make sure to read them. The thing I like about my book is that it almost automatically starts into the action. A girl named Miranda lost her memory and ask a police officer to help her. The man thought she was joking, but when she persisted the man started to take something out of his pocket. She had a sudden reaction to flip the guard, she doesn’t know why. So when she does she felt threatened with made her “power” go off. She was born with a special gift to make people think only fear and react to it. It gets emitted from her brain as waves. Since people only think fear, they start jumping off of high places or fighting people. They just want to get away from whatever is making them scared. This all happen in the very beginning of the book. He started the story explosive and it hooks the reader, I like that.  I also like how she has random flashbacks during her life, things that she remembers in her past. She see’s a boy and they go “home”.  She doesn’t know the boy, but he claims he knows her. I liked this because she has to trust a stranger she randomly met, it makes the story a mystery. Is the boy lying or is he telling the truth? The story progresses of how she had a life with 4 other people and how she was trained to use her powers for good. The 4 people were teammates for so many years, they were her family. Two of the teammates ran away from their so called home. After just arriving to relax and get to know about her life, a person named Dr.Tycast sends her on a mission to find the two teammates with a boy she just met in a random place. They end up getting them, but when they come back their home was destroyed. Dr.Tycast told them that the person that did this is coming for them. The people that are coming for them are clones of them. So they have to tell if it’s the real them or just a clone. Another big mystery, the story just keeps getting more mysterious. This is where i’m at now, but I suggest you go read the book. The mix of mystery and action and how it starts off strong makes it a really good book.

Life is Good, Enjoy It

When I walk around places, I hear students complaining about stuff that shouldn’t be complained about. Stuff like, complaining why you don’t have a phone and about why you don’t have an allowance. First of all, you don’t even need any of those things at your age. I mean phones? There are so many social websites out there that you shouldn’t need a phone at all. The people that complain about allowances – why should you be getting constant free money for doing nothing at all? “I do my chores though,” is a common phrase people will say, but why do you think you should get payed for cleaning the house you live in? That should just be a common thing. Another common phrase is that “All my friends have it,”. Why would you care if all your friends have it? If all of them jumped off a cliff would you do it?

There are other things to do than just complain. You could actually do something about it.  If your parents won’t give you an allowance instead of complaining to them how about you go find some work for you to do. If you want things – how about you don’t complain about them and actually start doing things to get them? If you want something don’t always depend on someone else to do it for you, do it yourself. This teaches virtues like hard-work and responsibility that you should be trying to grow in order to prepare yourself for the future.

People are lucky to be even living. A lot of people die for random reasons: disease, shootings, etc.   So before you start complaining about things, just deal with it. It’s not so bad. There are way worse out there,  just move on and go on with life. Life can be good, so enjoy it. There are so many more things that are fun then that thing you’re complaining about.

First days of Highschool

So, my high school just had created a new building for their school. It’s pretty cool, easy to navigate and a lot less crowded, It’s still pretty crowded but not as much as the old high school. It also has AC which is fine,  I don’t really care about the temperature to much, but a lot of other people think its a good update.  The new school feels like any other school to me, I don’t really feel a difference except that it uses a lot more technology to learn. Like we use Chromebooks in almost every class, I don’t know if it was like that before but that’s the only thing I felt different in the new school. This is my first year in school so I’m am considered a freshman and it can be really tough. First of all I’m in orchestra which means I’m in a class with 10th,11th, and 12th graders. Since they have experience they can play like the pieces of music we have to play with ease and I’m stuck just trying to figure out what one of the signs is or what note to play. Also being a freshmen and this being my first year of high school I know I have to study more to keep up with my classes. It isn’t something I can just remember so I have to take notes, study, and practice and it can be challenging sometimes, but i’m learning to manage my time and get used to it. My first few days of high school wasn’t that hard. All I had to do was memorize my classes and manage my time after school, basically trying to stop being lazy after school and to start doing work. I’m looking forward too all my classes, they all seem like their gonna be fun in the future and i’m looking forward to learning new things and enjoying myself along the way of 9th grade. The difficulties will probably participating in class more, since i’m usually shy and don’t like expressing myself that much, but I know I should try to be more socially out their and try to participate in class more. Hopefully this will be one of my best school years.
